We combine our love of Dogs, outdoors, fitness and the local Newark community

So, who are we, and why choose us? We appreciate that this is a fairly saturated market. .......So how do we differ?

Where to start........ The most obvious is in the name. As stated, we are both ex Police Officers with a combined Policing career of 30 years. As Police Officers we are hard-wired to maintain a calm composure in stressful situations. We also understand dog laws. Dog laws do apply to any dog owner! You can easily find yourself under investigation if your dog scares or injures someone. EVEN if your dog is on a lead. Understanding the responsibility, by walking a dog in a public place is vital. For you, and your dog.

Secondly, we are serial dog owners and lovers. We absolutely understand you can love a dog as much as a child. Only nonanimal lovers find this an odd comparison. We personally have our own dogs. We are physically fit, having always maintained a level of fitness for Policing. Your dogs will get an active walk (if they so require). We are highly organised and plan out all routes to suit all timescales, therefore maximising every walk for you dog.

Thirdly, we are serious about our ongoing professional development. We regularly sharpen our dog handling skills and knowledge. We understand EVERY dog is unique, just like people. We do encourage group sessions - if your dog can successfully integrate into a group. Dogs are pack animals and love to socialise, and it is very mentally stimulating. However, some dogs have different backgrounds and may have valid reasons for requiring a solo walk.

We offer active, high intensity group sessions specifically for high energy breeds!

We have had very POSITIVE feedback for these sessions. One dog (a chronic chewer) has become much more settled and stopped chewing. Another dog in our session - a working breed, has been much more settled at home and relaxed. We LOVE getting this feedback as we genuinely love to evidence our hard work through contentment in your dog.

We combined a fast paced, active walk, in a rural location with plenty of mental stimulation in the form of activities, direction and games. The combination of the two really mentally challenges these busy brains.

We update you, and we take videos and pictures so you can see your best friend having a wonderful time!

Let your dog come join us, and see the difference

As well as the high intensity walks, we also offer solo walks, and our golden oldie walks. This session is for the steadier, or older, convalescing or those that don't want to go at speed.

As mentioned previously, we do offer some solo walks. We have limited availability for these.

We have vast experience with other animals

We are horse owners and have over 30 years' experience with horses. We currently have our own horses. We can manage big, small, young and old. We just ask any quirks are disclosed so we can make an informed decision - but we are happy to poo pick, muck out, turn out bring in, change rugs and feed.

We have also cared for sheep, goats, chickens and donkeys!

We offer cat visits, and small pet visits. These can be ad hoc (to cover holidays for example). We will consider taking care of any pet for you, and will always be honest in our experience and ability. We openly admit to having less experience with reptiles, so yoou may prefer a speciliast or more experienced service for them. However, we can follow instructions, should you want us to help.
