Hi, I'm Matt
Despite being ex Police - we are 100% Force-Free Dog Trainers — and proud of it. We stay up to date with the latest science-backed training methods, so we know with absolute certainty: dogs can be trained effectively, successfully, and happily without punishment. So why choose anything else?

Our approach is all about mentoring you on a personal journey to strengthen the bond between you and your dog. We tailor our services to your unique needs, with total understanding and zero judgment.

Over the years, we’ve invested in learning from a variety of respected dog training organisations — and from that wealth of knowledge and experience, we’ve created our own blueprint. A method grounded in ethics, empathy, and what truly works for real dogs and real people.

We are part of Canine Behaviour College ( the highest Level and currently only) OFQUAL Level 6 Clinical Behaviour Qualification run by a team of vets.

This means we can take on the more complex behaviour cases where other more general trainers have felt stumped.
We work on the basis a happy dog = a "well behaved" dog.

The behaviours that may be causing you stress, shame, embarrassment or even fear - are all just a demonstration of you or dog's emotional state. We work with the underlying emotion - to see the outward change leading to a happy, healthy, content dog.

We use a blue print that encourages your dog to feel confident, calm and have agency.
Not force.

While aversive methods may look like they work in the short term - the anxiety causes the behaviour doesn't just disappear. You will find it crops up elsewhere or intensifies if using force to control your dog's behaviour. It is merely "pushed down" for a short period of time. This isn't the answer to your problem.

We treat you and your dog with deep respect and for that reason we actively qualify potential clients to ensure we are a good match for you.
We want results - and you only get results when you make a good team.

Hi, I'm Tanya
Like Matt, I am also Ex-Police by background - but also a force-free advocate.
I am the ultra theory geek and I design your bespoke behavioural plan and have created our online portal.
The portal is with our sister company "The Dog Bond Academy" our online, global, training company.
I have worked WORLDWIDE mentoring owners with their dog's behaviour struggles.
With a 100% success rate.
At Paw Patrol you get a 2-4-1 in Matt's skills based training and my behavioural input and bespoke plan.
I have undertaken additional training in behaviour language to accomodate all learning styles and neurotypes to support the humans in their journey.
We pride ourselves on offering a compassionate non-judgemental approach as we have seen so many clients who felt judged by previous trainers and also felt shamed and humiliated. We would never do this. You only know what you know - and we are the experts for a reason. We would never judge you for trying your best.
Living with a dog that has unwanted behaviours is stressful. It is tiring and it leads to unwanted feelings on your part. Questions as to whether you got it wrong, got the wrong dog or should even consider rehoming. We have heard it before - and it's normal to have these thoughts. Don't feel bad!
Living with a dog that is not how you pictured your life to be is a form of grief. The relaxing walks? It didn't happen. Being pulled around or feeling embarrassed by lunging, barking, growling is a form of public humiliation. People are so quick to judge. Which doesn't help!
We understand.
Let's get started with a supportive plan and pave the way to a happier future.
It is never too early. No unwanted behaviour is too small, but equally no dog is too old.
If you have a puppy - I implore you to read our dedicated puppy page. The early days really do count!
If you have a reactive dog - please see our specialist reactivity services.
Whatever behaviour struggle you are experiencing. Come to us for a non commital chat to discuss what we can offer.
